Description
Photograph of a panoramic view of San Francisco in the aftermath of the 1906 earthquake and fire, showing the bay, 1906. Just to the right of center, four sections of free standing chimney seem to mark the boundaries of the foundation on which they are situated. To the left, a narrow, paved road can be seen extending from the foreground and down over a hill in the distance. Ships can be seen in the bay in the background, just in front of the mountains, while to the right, large houses can be seen on a lone hill. Russian Hill and Telegraph Hill are pictured. The image was taken from Nob Hill.
