The First Baptist Church, located at 555 W. 7th Street in San Pedro was built in 1919 and designed in the Beaux Arts Classical style by architect Norman Marsh. This building features Egyptian columns and fine stained glass windows. Numerous stairs break off into two sections leading to two entrances on either side of the church, and a banner and marquee can be seen between the middle columns. This building was declared Los Angeles Historic Cultural Monument #505 on May 22, 1990.
