Description
Drawing of the Federal Telegraph Company Shanghai antenna and 1,000 ft. masts superimposed over a photograph of the Manhattan skyline. "Drawn to scale as they would appear if erected upon Lower Manhattan Island today. The drawing shows only four of the seven 1,000 ft. masts and only one of the two 120,000 meter-ampere sections which comprise the 240,000 meter-ampere antenna designed for the Shanghai Station. The complete system would occupy more than the full width of the island at Wall Street and would extend from Battery Park to a point on Broadway near Washington Square, almost half way to the Grand Central Station..."
