Description
This circa 1900 postcard shows the Capital Hotel's Grill Room. Located at the southwest corner of Seventh and K streets, the three story, brick walled Capital was maintained in joint operation with the Golden Eagle Hotel, located just across the street. Built and rebuilt in the 1870s, the hotel was gutted by fire in November 1929. The street entrance to the Grill Room was on Seventh Street, between K and L Streets.
