Caption reads, "Ida James drops dynamic song accents in 'New Meet the People' at the Assistance League Playhouse." James was a singer and actress known for her song 'Shoo Shoo Baby' and 'Is You Is, Or Is Not My Baby,' which she sung with Nat King Cole. She also appeared in the films 'Hi-De-Ho' and 'Devil's Daughter." Photo dated: July 31, 1943.
