Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of the First Methodist Church in Pasadena, looking southwest, ca.1925. The tall, gothic building of the church is visible at the corner at center and appears to be arranged in six sections. The first section is positioned at the end of the paved walkway that turns in from the sidewalk, which terminates at the building's three identical doors. Over these, a large, arched set of stained-glass windows are positioned, leading up to a steeply-slanted roof. This building appears to move backwards perpendicularly to the second section, on which a tall spire can be seen to the right. In front of these, to the left, a shorter, longer building is visible, matched by an even longer building of similar height to the right, which is positioned next to the two-story Weatherby-Kayser Shoe Co. in what is labeled as the Bruce Building. Two more short buildings are partially visible in the background behind the central sections. Early automobiles can be seen parked along the street to the left, where the ledge of a building can be seen in the extreme foreground.
