Photograph caption dated July 9, 1956 reads, "Julian Alverez [sic], bus driver for Las Virgenes school district, gives daughter Marilyn, 10, last look at nest and baby birds above rear-view mirror of his bus. Birds were hatched while bus was in use and were kept warm on chilly mornings with defroster."
