Two groups of Navajo on horseback gathered in the desert, watching horseback riders racing each other. Title transcribed from item. Signed on mount: "Frederick Monsen." Appears to have been taken at same time and location as (86), (138), (140). Monsen's typed label on back says: "A Navajo Indian Race. The Navajo enjoy their sports and very often engage in spirited horse races. The scene is taken near the mouth of the Canyon de Chelly on the edge of the Chinle desert."
