Photograph caption dated September 18, 1964 reads "Armando Vega demonstrates his talents on the high bar as he hopes to nail down another Olympic Berth. The veteran gymnastic star will compete with nine others at Valley State College tonight and Saturday for the Tokyo berths." Vega was a member of the 1956 U.S. Olympic gymnastics team.
