Description
Title supplied by cataloger.
This mural, the last work signed by the Los Angeles Fine Arts Squad, is located on the side of the old St. Charles Hotel. This 1978 painting presents a mirror image of the street itself without cars and pedestrians, as the surface is to serve as an empty space in front of which real people can act out their lives.
Photograph caption dated December 28, 1980 reads, "Terry Schoonhoven painted an illusionary mural on a wall facing Windward Avenue in Venice."
