In the extreme foreground, Loew's State Theater building can be seen. To the right, the twelve-story Bank of Italy is pictured with the rest of the city's highrises stretching out behind it. Legible signs include: "Boos Bros. Cafeteria", "644 646 / California Furniture Company", "Palace", "Desmonds", "Mullen & Blush Clothers", and "Walter P. Story Building".
