Photograph article dated April 8, 1961 partially reads, "Laurence is a small, non-profit school at 6428 Woodman Ave. dedicated to helping youngsters who are emotionally disturbed and unable to perform satisfactorily in a normal classroom situation." Pictured, at right, is Marvin Jacobson, the founder of Laurence School, helping a student.
