Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated May 17, 1965 reads "Ronald Leeper, 17, hoses down a car as Gary Shanklin, David Beers and Bill Whitcomb, all 17, give the auto that spic-and-span touch with chamois cloths, at their car wash over the weekend. The car-washers are among 20 students at Glendale's Hoover High School who are raising money to go to the World's Fair in New York. All the students are members of a voluntary program, sponsored by the Church of Latter-day Saints of Glendale, in which they learn ethics through the tutelage of attorney John Harmer at a special one-hour class every morning before school starts."
