Photograph caption dated May 11, 1961 reads, "Pretty Mrs. Mary Flaherty, right front, of 7839 Chastain Ave., Reseda, rates a real celebration Sunday on Mother's Day. She's shown with her husband, John, and 13 of the 15 reasons. The children range in age from John Jr., 19, now serving in the Air Force, to Loretta and Virginia, the Flahertys' 20-month-old twins. Shown from lower left around the table as they present Mom with an early present are: Patrick, 10; Judy, 13; Kathleen, 16, holding Loretta; Michael (partly hidden), 12; Patricia, 15; Dad; Brian, 6; Eileen, 9; Theresa, 10; Kevin, 8; Roger, 3; Ann, 5, and Virginia, who is being held by her mother. John Jr. and Maureen, 18, who is visiting in San Diego, were missing from the family portrait."
