Description
Photograph of the Texas Oil Company Tank Farm southeast of Artesia, California, ca.1930. The numerous low, broad, cylindrical tanks are arranged in neat rows and columns at the center of the image, their formation stretching from the extreme left to the extreme right. There is a small building with a peaked roof directly in front of the tanks. The photograph appears to have been taken through a narrow opening, possibly between rails of a fence, and horizontal strips of wood can be seen at the top and bottom of the image.
