Description
Jefferson Davis enclosed a report from Bonnycastle, commander of Fort Jones, California. It reports the death of the Rogue River Chief and murder of chief Bill by the Whites. Klamath, Goodall, Rosborough, De Chute Indians. Cottonwood, and the Shastas are mentioned in the account.
