Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Shell Oil Company, showing three cylindrical towers, ca.1940. Two tall, lightly-colored cylindrical towers stand at center with a shorter, wider tower standing in front of them on the right. Ladders surrounded with rounded guard rails climb up the sides of the towers to the machinery which sits on the platforms on their tops. The towers stand above what appears to be a lightly-colored, metal walkway of a building which extends over the foreground on the left. Beams extend from the building on the left over the thick pipes over the foreground on the right.
