Description
"Hochzeitsgesellschaft in Twistwyk." (Wedding party in Twistwyk."). The picture shows three African bridal couples. Two brides wear white dresses, one wears a black one. The men wear similar suits. Each of the three men holds a hat. One man is sitting, the other two are standing next to their wives. On the left and on the right of the couples are several African guests. A house, a tree, three hackneys and two horses in the background. Imprinted on the image: "1839.".
