Description
Photograph caption dated October 22, 1959 reads, "To meet the food needs of the ever-growing Valley population, two-at-a-time is becoming the order of business in new openings by merchants. Fox Markets currently have opened two new markets, one at Kester Avenue and Magnolia Boulevard, Van Nuys, as above, and the other at Sepulveda and Mission Boulevards in Granada Hills. Pulchritudinous Jan Richards, Miss Van Nuys, here is cutting the ribbon at the V.N. store, escorted by: left to right, Chas. Alexander, V.N. manager; Jim Tipps, store operations manager; E. J. Fox, Fox chain president, and John Tropea, V.N. Chamber president."
