One farmer uses an umbrella to shade himself. The Sonepur Cattle Fair is held each November, and stretches from fifteen days to one month. It is the biggest cattle fair in Asia, and was based at Sonepur from the time of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. This slide comes from a collection created by missionaries from Regions Beyond Missionary Union, an interdenominational Protestant evangelical mission working in northeast India (Bihar and Orissa) and Nepal.
