Description
Part 1: The recording begins with a brief introduction from a narrator, who describes the entrance of a puppet. The sound then shifts to the performance, with live music playing, the sound of chanting and cheering, and a woman singing. The narrator speaks again a few more times to describe an altercation, a bomb being fired, dancers dancing, and other action that has taken place, all interspersed with music from the performance. In the performance a man calls out that he is lost and wants help, but is mocked. The man announces that he has a weapon, a radio, and other items, and then the narrator announces that a new tape begins with a march. The listener hears music and a man giving a speech, in addition to indistinct chanting/cheering, and then the soprano singing. The narrator interrupts one more time to say that a character is entering a fiery tunnel, followed by crashes, shouts, and the sound of fire and gunfire. The recording ends with extended sound of fireworks.
Part 2: Begins with fireworks and crowd sounds, and then a speaker on stage elucidating the characters and the meanings of the puppets in the show. The crowd laughs frequently, and chatter is audible. Pyrotechnic sounds resume, and various shouting can also be heard. Shouting, bangs, and taps make up the final minute.
Audio Notes: Part 1 audio starts at 0:10, silence from 5:46-5:56 (10 seconds), from 22:45 onward there is almost no sound on the right side, from 25:45 to 26:34 there is heavy static (could also be sound of fire on stage), the last six minutes are sounds of fireworks. Part 2 audio is mostly static/fireworks from 0:09 to 2:30.
