An exhibition building at the 1928 Pacific Southwest Exposition in Long Beach is mirrored in the reflecting pool in this night scene. The Exposition was launched to commemorate the landing of the Spanish padres and the founding of California. The Exposition buildings, designed by architect Hugh R.
