The Malamute Saloon and Cafe posts a notice that it is "The First to Open in 13 Years," signaling the end of Prohibition in 1933. The saloon is in the form of an Alaskan log cabin with a giant bottle in front. A waiter stands in the doorway. There are tables for ladies, according to a sign.
