V2p162a In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. II, page 162 top. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." View of three men riding in a carriage during a parade. Text written on photo identifies one of the men in front as "Det Wm Proll" and the two in back as "Admiral [Robley D.] Evans" and "Mayor [Edward R.] Taylor." Evans commanded Theodore Roosevelt's "Great White Fleet" which visited San Francisco in 1908. The Hotel Apollo at 1130 Market Street can be seen in the background, along with a sign for Hunter Baltimore Rye.
