Description
Tom LaBonge, as well as other dignitaries, were on hand for Los Angeles' City Hall rededication celebration. In this photo we see Councilman LaBonge (4th District), wearing a tuxedo and a party hat in the shape of City Hall. He is standing with an unidentified woman at his side - possibly his wife, Brigid Manning LaBonge. Tom LaBonge was first elected in October 2001; in March 2003, he was overwhelmingly re-elected to serve his first four-year term, which runs to 2007. Councilman LaBonge is considered to be the Cheerleader of the City of Los Angeles, and is known informally as "Mr. Los Angeles." Photograph dated April 30, 2002.
