Advertisement reads [part 1 of 2]: "Latest Southern Pacific News and Travel Bargains. Make the Redwoods a part of your trip to Portland. For only $10.40 more than the regular fare to the Pacific Northwest, you can tour the Redwood Empire, breath-taking beauty of the world's oldest forest of giants and craggy shore of the Pacific. Lv. San Francisco 8:30 p.m. Ar. Eureka 8:10 a.m. Lv. Eureka (motor-coach) 8:45 a.m. Ar. Grants Pass 4:55 p.m. Ar. Portland 7:30 a.m. -- Through Pullmans from Los Angeles to Guadalajara, Old Mexico. Miniature cities on a tropical shore. Colorful customs of the centuries have not changed. Hours that call for sport or just lazy dreams. Dine in open garden patio of Old World cafes. Pullmans from Los Angeles, through without change to Guadalajara on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on our new fast trains down the West Coast. Lv. Los Angeles Monday 6:00 p.m. Lv. Advertisement reads [part 2 of 2]: "You will be given full information as to the train departures, the routes that offer the maximum value in sigh seeing or time saving, the cost of rail and Pullman tickets and any other information you wish. Then, for your further convenience, the 'Service Bureau' will deliver your railroad and Pullman tickets to your home or office without extra charge. -- $52.50 to Chicago March 17th. Last date for Low Coach Fares East. The low coach fares East have proven so popular that the final sale date has been extended to March 17. If you are planning to go East, here is unfrilled transportation that saves you $52.50. The regular one-way fare to Chicago is $79.84. Lower berth is $23.63. Total $103.47. The special coach fare cuts the cost in half. Similar low fares to all eastern points. From the East they will be in effect from March 15 to April 30. Here are examples: Chicago $52.50. Boston $86.23. New York $83.06. New Orleans $47.50. St. Louis $47.50. St. Paul $50.00. Denver $30.00. The 'Pacific Limited' 68 hour train to Chicago, leaves Ferry Station daily at 4:00 p.m. It is well equipped for this coach-fare trip. An All-Day Lunch car (like a cafeteria or coffee-shop), in addition to regular Diner, serves meals at surprisingly moderate prices. -- $15 to Portland, $13 to Los Angeles. The $15 fare is good on the 'Coach Special.' Lv. 7 p.m. Ar. Portalnd 8:20 p.m. next day. The $13 fare is good on all trains to Los Angeles carrying coaches except the 'Daylight.' -- On the Pacific Coast. Frequent, fast service to all Pacific Coast points, including 9 trains daily to Los Angeles, 15 to Sacramento, 5 to Portland and Seattle, 5 to Fresno, 32 down the San Francisco Peninsula. -- To the East. Only Southern Pacific offers choices of 12 fine trains daily over 4 great routes -- via Ogden, El Paso, New Orleans and Portland. Go one way, return another."
