An issue titled as: Preliminary evaluation of the Resettlement Program at Jerome Relocation Center. Incomplete document describing the resettlement program at the Jerome camp. It discusses how residents live, how problems are handled and the level of information and progress of the camp. The collection contains material used by Carey McWilliams in writing the book, Prejudice: Japanese Americans, symbol of racial intolerance (Little, Brown, 1944). It includes U.S. War Relocation Authority records, confidential reports, bibliographies, clippings and compilations of articles, legal papers, correspondence between McWilliams and Japanese American evacuees, relocation camp newspapers and other publications, two copies of his book, and five copies of the 1994 videocassette (40 min.), Something Strong Within.
