This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
Text written under photo: "What's the Airplane doing at Stockton & Post [sic, Stockton & Geary] 1922." Aerial view from the St. Francis Hotel looking over Union Square. Geary Street is at the right, Stockton Street in the background. Both the park and the sidewalks are very crowded. The streets are full of autos along with two Muni streetcars on Geary. A biplane is flying over Geary Street at a lower altitude than this photo was taken from. The Dewey Monument is at the left.
