Description
Aerial view of Los Angeles looking towards mountains with Hollywood State Bank sign in foreground. Accompanies a binder titled "Correspondence between LEE DE FOREST and F. Alton Everest 1938, 39, 40." (2003-34-33) Everest, a professor at Oregon State University, developed an amplifier for de Forest's mechanical scanning television system. This view may be from the 14th floor of the Bekins Storage Building where de Forest's machine shop and chemical laboratory were located.
