The river runs from the top of the image to the bottom at center. At left, several hills are covered by tall trees. A reservoir can be seen among the trees in the upper left corner. Southern Pacific Railroad's Midway Yard can be seen at the left bank of the river. At the right bank, a number of Los Angeles Jail's structures is visible.
