"The roof and floors of a five story apartment building are lifted into place in the background while construction superintendent Johnny Gorc shows the slabs for a companion structure in the four building Golden Palms Apartments development at Van Alstyne and Carmichael Way. The 5,700 square foot slabs are poured on the site, stressed to 5,600 pounds per square inch, then lifted hydraulically to the desired levels. John O.
