Description
Photograph of Nevada County Views, showing Catholic Church in the Grass Valley, ca.1910. In the foreground, a wide street can be seen extending from left to right. A man stands near the center of the street facing the camera. The man wears a long-sleeved shirt and dark pants. To the right, a tall brick wall lined with thick vegetation is visible. Tall trees can also be seen at right. To the left, a large Catholic Church can be seen. A small flight of stairs leads to the doorway of the rectangular bell tower. An arched, stain glass window can be seen near the center of the bell tower. Another doorway can be seen at right on the main body of the church. Rather than being separate, the bell tower appears to be directly connected to the main body of the church. A large cross can be seen atop the bell tower surrounded by four pinnacles.
