The dirt intersection of Los Angeles Street and Third Street is in the foreground at center, and Los Angeles Street extends into the distance at center. There are two sets of streetcar tracks running down the middle of Third Street. Los Angeles Street is crowded with horses, carriages, automobiles, and pedestrians. A lone bicyclist is headed into the traffic at right. The street is lined with tall buildings full of shops. Legible signs include, from left to right, "Maier Brewing Co.", "Klein Norton Co. [?] and Distributors Shirts Hosiery Underwear Overalls", "[Wes]tern [Who]lesale Co.", "Stationery", and "Chancellor Cigars".
