Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph caption dated July 14, 1962 reads, "Disc jockey Gene Weed sounds an old-fashioned bell as he is officially named honorary town crier of Reseda. Not so happy with the noise is Douglas Pedlow Jr., president of the Reseda Chamber of Commerce, originators of the town crier post. But Amanda Blake, honorary mayor of Reseda, seems to like the clatter as she cups her ear to listen."
