Imprinted on the image: "Chinde. Haus der Ostafrikanischen Seengesellschaft. No. 297." ("Chinde. House of the EastAfrican Lake Company. No. 297"). Photo is yellowed. -- The place Chinde exists today three times in East Africa. The one ment here is most probably located at the southern tip of Lake Tanganyika in Zambia.
