Photograph article dated June 27, 1963 partially reads, "They've taken summer theater out of a barn. And put it in a tent. They're hiring name actors and actresses: Gloria Grahame, Virginia Mayo, Michael O'Shea. They're producing name plays: 'The Rainmaker,' 'A Streetcar Named Desire,' 'Come Blow Your Horn,' 'Tunnel of Love.' And best of all: They've brought it to the Valley. The Los Angeles Summer Playhouse has pitched its tent in Panorama City until sometime in November. Its season opened Tuesday and will include 10 different plays." Note: Photograph caption reads, "’It's gonna rain!' says 'Rainmaker' hero John Vivyan. Others featured are Keith London, Loyal Lucas, Harvey Korman, Majel Barrett, from left." Though not mentioned in the caption, the little boy visible between Majel Barrett and John Vivyan appears to be 9-year-old Ron Howard.; See image #00131723 for additional photo in this series.
