Photograph caption dated February 3, 1965 reads, "Petite Lydia Tagliamonte is dwarfed by a relief globe one-sixth millionth the size of the actual earth. The globe has been placed in the Los Angeles International Banking Office of Bank of America. More than six feet in diameter, the globe is built to an exact surface scale of one inch to 100 miles. A person standing six feet away sees the world as it would appear to an astronaut 7,632 miles up, bank officials said."
