Britt explains uses and parts of .45 caliber automatic pistol to Marine Corps Volunteer Unit which mets each Friday evening from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Naval Armory, Laurel Canyon and Victory Blvds., North Hollywood. Organization, an infantry outfit, is now forming a war dog platoon and all persons interested in joining may attend the sessions." The article partially reads "A full program of civilian benefits is open to Valley veterans and men, 17 and older, in addition to complete military training with pay in the newly formed 'Valley's Own' Marine Corps Reserve infantry battalion."
