There are junks in the foreground, and to the left in the background. Victoria Peak with semaphore at top in background, center right. Vessel is flying American flag from the stern, a Pacific Mail house-flag from the middle mast, a pennant with the vessels name from the aft mast; from the first mast is a flag flying what appears to be a red dragon on a yellow field. Print includes vessel statistics and the name of the builder, Henry Steers. Copyright information below the image in the center" "Entered ... 1868 ... by Louis R. Menger ...". Focus of item: Japan.
