Description
Photograph of an arcade at the Frank Miller's Glenwood Hotel (Mission Inn), Riverside, ca.1910. The pergola-like arcade is constructed of logs and tree branches. Palm tree fronds are used to decorate the columns. Vines entwine around the arcade's wooden structure. Several signs hang from the arcade. Only two of them are legible and it reads "Doctor's Office" and "Barber Shop". Two bicycles are parked against the wall at the end of the arcade. At right, a small rope fence creates a boundary between the arcade and several bushes in the courtyard. Beyond the courtyard is the inn, standing about four stories tall and featuring multicurved gable, towers and Spanish tiled roofs.
