Photograph was edited for publication purposes Chester Conklin was an American comedic actor who appeared in over 280 films, about half of them in the silent film era. Photograph caption dated August 17, 1963 reads "'Not like old days.'" The article partially reads "The big bus from the Motion Picture Country Home in Woodland Hills pushed itself over the Santa Monica Mountains Friday, rolled into Culver City and stopped on Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's outdoor set shortly before noon. All of the guests were former picture industry employes (sic) and included directors, make-up artists, drivers, costumers and members of other guilds."
