Description: Image of a large parade ground surround on three sides by cabins. On the right there is a platoon of African-American soldiers grouped closely together; they face an officer standing at attention on the other side of the parade grounds. There are numerous onlookers, including a woman, on the right behind the platoon. In the middle of the image is the Tennessee River, while dominating the background is Lookout Mountain.
