Photograph of races on the last day of the Hopi Snake ceremonies in the village of Mishongnovi, ca.1900-1901. About a dozen Hopi Indians clad only in loincloths and headbands sit on rocks in the foreground. About twenty women and children also look on at two young Hopi men on the far right decorated with large white paint spots. A large hill stands behind them in the background on the right.
