Photograph caption dated August 13, 1956 reads, "Debuts today at Democratic Convention. Smaller than a flashlight and weighing in at 1 1/2 pounds, this midget electronic marvel is shown here being demonstrated by Sig Mickelson, CBS vice president in charge of news and public affairs. Looking on is Charles Collingwood. He's one of the CBS newsmen who will work the vest pocket camera in crowded areas where the standard camera will not be practicable. Developed at Lockheed, the pint-sized camera measures five inches by one and three-quarter inches by two inches. It is only 1/300 the size of the 'normal' TV camera standing beside Collingwood."
