Photograph article dated November 8, 1963 partially reads, "Actor George Montgomery Thursday testified that his lovelorn ex-housekeeper, accused of trying to kill him to keep him away from 'stupid glamor girls,' followed him across the country for two years. Montgomery, 46, said the 37-year-old defendant, Ruth Wenzel, approached him twice while he was with a touring company of 'Toys in the Attic.' In Ann Arbor, Mich., Montgomery said, Miss Wenzel threatened to kill herself if the actor didn't return her love, and in Yonkers, N. Y., she warned he'd never be able to hide. Miss Wenzel, on trial before Los Angeles Superior Judge Herbert V. Walker on charges of burglary and assault with intent to commit murder, was arrested Aug. 27 after assertedly shooting at Montgomery in his home at 16531 Saticoy St., Van Nuys." Photograph caption reads, "Actor George Montgomery, left, testifies at maid's trial - Ruth Wenzel, right, followed him two years, Montgomery testified."; See image #00141468 for additional photo in this series.
