Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated May 30, 1963 partially reads, "Verona Arundel, 76, Burbank, a retired musician and recreation supervisor in the Los Angeles Schools, collects all sorts of odds and ends to create original works of art. In her hands old buttons, belt buckles, key chains, beads and an assorted array of broken-up jewelry become beautiful designs adorning old bottles of different sizes, shapes and colors. 'The bottles are simply the regular items a person would find around the house--bottles which once contained soap, bleach, hand lotion and wine or old vases, planters and even pine needle baskets,' she said. Mrs. Arundel, who recently displayed her arts at the Burbank Hobby and Crafts show, enjoys taking the 'dull and ugly' and constructing a design from 'out of nothing.'"
