Description: Monument erected in tribute to the evangelist Fao in Mou (Lifou island)
Fao was the first Polynesian evangelist. He unloaded on Lifou island in 1842. This monument was erected on the place where he unloaded. At the foot of this monument is written 1859-1959.
Comment : Photograph taken during the Assembly of Pacific Conference of Churches in Chepenehe, Lifou, from May 25th till June 7th, 1966.
