Photograph of an exterior view of the rear of the Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, showing the newly landscaped gardens, ca.1917. The massive hotel is on a hill in the distance at center. It is a rectangular structure with at least six stories. A square tower rises from the middle of the roof. The gardens are in the foreground and are composed of small bushes and trees planted in neat, even rows. The dirt around the plants has been eroded by large amounts of water flow.
