Photograph caption dated August 26, 1959 reads, "William Phillips, 15, of Van Nuys, youngest member of Civil Air Patrol Squadron 33, chats with Roy Knabenshue, 84, of Arcadia, oldest living navigator in world, during Silver Wings formation party at CAP headquarters. Knabenshue was first man to make powered flight and return to point of departure."
