Description
Naturalist John Muir and friends Mr. and Mrs. William Newton, with children Mary and William, stand on what appears to be a fallen redwood tree. This was taken from an original print owned by Mrs. Maribeth Patrick. The photo appears in "Mount Tamalpais, a History," by Lincoln Fairley. The History Room also has a framed version of this photograph (2015.003.075).
